The Yakima Valley/Tri-Cities Mathematics, Engineering and Science Achievement (MESA) Center is one of six regional centers serving students in Washington State. MESA is designed to increase the number of underrepresented minorities in the mathematics, engineering and science-related professions. ​Delta High School is a small public high school for students living in the Kennewick, Pasco, and Richland, Washington School Districts. The Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) – Battelle Office of STEM Education has a vested interest in STEM education and sustaining a diversified workforce.
